Gaels Le Chéile
Our first gig of 2021 was Gaels Le Chéile, our annual celebration of the shared Gaelic / Gaeilge culture of Scotland and Ireland. This year we broadened our horizons to include our Celtic cousins in Wales!
Adwaith describe themselves as a “post-rock girl group” from Carmarthen in West Wales.
Diane Cannon grew up steeped in the traditional music and language of her native Donegal.
Sian are one of the leading new acts on the Scottish Gaelic traditional music scene.
These three diverse acts brought a fresh perspective to our showcase of the best in traditional and contemporary Celtic music.
Gaels Le Chéile
B’e a’ child chuirm-chiùil againn ann an 2021 Gaels Le Chèile, an comharrachadh bliadhnail dhen chultair Ghàidhlig / Ghaeilge a tha co-roinnte eadar Alba agus Èirinn. Am-bliadhna, leudaich sinn ar prògram agus shìn sinn a-mach gu ar càirdean Ceilteach anns a’ Chuimrigh.
Tha Adwaith a’ toirt iomradh orra fhèin mar “buidheann nigheannan post-rock” à Carmarthen ann an Taobh Siar na Cuimrigh.
Dh’fhàs Diane Cannon suas agus ise am bogadh ann an cànan agus ceòl traidiseanta Dhùn nan Gall.
